What is an Australian Cobberdog?

The Cobberdog is a relatively new pure breed still in the developing stages. There were 22 breeds involved in the early stages of development however the Australian Cobberdog doesn’t resemble any of those breeds now.  We are many generations along and the Australian Cobberdog has it’s own unique identity and well defined characteristics.  These include sustained eye contact, emotional warmth, remarkable intuition, intelligence, a high aptitude for training and a calm nature. 

The MDBA Australian Cobberdog breed standard includes a low to non-shedding coat and a human focused therapy temperament.

Am I ready for a Cobberdog?

Cobberdogs thrive in a loving and welcoming environment.  Being that they are extremely human focused it is important to us that their humans are able to provide enough contact for them to feel fulfilled in their purpose. 

Our dogs are bred inside our loving home and it is essential to their well being that they can live indoors. 

Diet is so important.  What you put into your dog will effect everything.  High quality food is like health insurance for your dogs quality of life. 

Costs include veterinary fees if and when required, ongoing health treatments such as worming, equipment like collars/leads/toys, coat care like grooming/brushes/hair products.

What makes our process different?

We are a loving family with two boys aged 14 and 16. We all love animals and especially dogs! Our home and yard is where our dogs live, not in kennels outside.

Each litter is born in a purpose built luxury puppy room with soft clean bedding, consistent temperature control and natural light.
