The Process

Firstly, please fill in our waitlist form (join our family), and then send an email to info@sheehanscobberdogs.com.au with your wish list and any questions you may have. We will respond to you as soon as we can.

Please understand, our priority is to find the most well suited families/homes for our dogs.  We are low-volume boutique breeders and can only accommodate a certain amount of families per year.

Moving forward, once we have mutually agreed that you will be joining our extended family, there is a $300 booking fee to be paid.  From there, we send you our comprehensive puppy preparation guide and keep you updated on progress via email.

With regards to puppy/family  allocation, by the five-six week mark, we will have assessed  who is who in the zoo and matched them with your preferences and needs.  Officially though, you will find out which one is yours after  the important 6 week vet health checks.

Your puppy will be 8-9 weeks of age when you come to collect him or her.  We do also send puppies interstate on flights which is very easy and causes no issues for the puppies.  The travel is arranged by us, but paid by you.  Costs start from $400 depending on your location and the travel industry at the time.

Checklist

A home full of love is imperative to a puppy integrating well.

Cobberdogs are very intuitive and genuinely want to “connect” with their humans.  A home full of love and adoration for animals will be doggy heaven for a beautiful Cobberdog.  We are committed to ensuring all of our dogs go to homes that understand dog ownership and what it involves.

Giving time is the greatest gift of all.

When you invite a Sheehans Cobberdog into your life, you are essentially dedicating the gift of your time to it.   Cobberdogs require companionship, training, grooming, exercise, feeding etc.  in order to fulfill their true purpose of deep connection and empathy.

A high quality diet is essential for Cobberdog general health and well being.

Feeding your Cobberdog an all natural high quality diet is extremely important for maintaining good health.  We all know that you are what you eat!  Avoiding highly processed pet food full of preservatives and salt will help your dog to live a longer and more quality life.

A Cobberdogs coat requires care and attention.

Regular brushing is essential for a Cobberdog.  Firstly, they learn to enjoy it from an early age and secondly, it needs to be done to avoid matting which can cause skin irritations and painful pulling.  Understanding that your Cobberdogs coat is a commitment is crucial!
